Generic Name: E: Clindamycin
How to use this Medicine: Follow the directions
for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Clean and dry the
affected area. COVER THE AFFECTED and surrounding area with a thin
film of medicine. STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature in a tightly-closed
container, away from heat and light. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS
MEDICINE, use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your
next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing
schedule.
Cautions: SEVERAL WEEKS MAY PASS before you see
improvement in your acne. Continue using this medicine for the full
time recommended by your doctor. If your acne does not improve or
gets worse, check with your doctor. DO NOT GET THIS MEDICINE in
your eyes or on the inside of your nose or mouth. If you accidentally
get the medicine in your eye, immediately flush with a large amount
of cool tap water. DO NOT USE OTHER MEDICINES OR CLEANERS on your
face unless otherwise directed by your doctor. FOR WOMEN: IT IS
UNKNOWN IF THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED in breast milk. DO NOT BREAST-FEED
while taking this medicine.
Possible Side Effects: A SIDE EFFECT, that may
go away during treatment, is dry skin. If it continues or is bothersome,
check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
if you experience skin rash; swelling, redness, burning, or peeling
of your skin; stomach pain; or diarrhea. If you notice other effects
not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
